It's time once again for the annual CFeMmy Awards. The purpose of the CFeMmy's is to recognize the outstanding contributors, products and websites in the ColdFusion Community. Nominations are open for the categories listed below and will run until 12/18/07. After that the voting will take place. Here are the current categories/nominations. Ok...can I be a little nitpicky here...the name of the product (while long) is actually the Illudium PU-36 Code Generator - my main reason for being nitpicky is actually because it generates more than just CFCs...</nitpick>

Just a follow up to make sure folks understand that these are *nomitations* only at this time. I'm seeing a few nominations come in for things that are already listed above. The actual voting will take place next week!

In the nomination form (http://cfsilence.com/soundings/survey.cfm?id=CEB1A...) I don't see any options to submit a host to nominate or I am missing something?

Yep. Submit the first page (submit it blank if you want to - nothing is *required*) and you'll see 4 more spots for the other categories.

What about 'best external contribution to the coldfusion community' for a category....

or

'Best Ajax Integration Framework' (ie jquery, extjs, etc)

Chris: There were many many other categories that have been suggested but I ultimately decided to keep the amount of categories down to the select few shown above. Thanks for your suggestions though, I do appreciate them.

I sent through a nomination for my favourite OS project; FarCry CMS. Hopefully its worthy of nomination ;)

I tried to nominate my fav OS project but the survey was already closed. So here is my nomination:

LightWire

Although ColdSpring is more popular, I think if more folks gave LightWire a try they would adopt it over ColdSpring unless they needed AOP support. Go LightWire!

These kind of awards will encourage more number of people to come out with there talent online. I hope I could do some thing not excepting an award atlest any thing which can be used by few.
