2007 CFeMmys - Vote Now

The 2007 CFeMmy nominations are in and the voting will now begin. Voting ends this Friday (12/21) at noon so please hurry and get your votes in (sorry for the short voting period but things are very very busy for me right now and I know very few folks will be around next week so I wanted to make sure everyone would see the results before the holiday week). Vote Now!
Why just a 3 day voting period, and that in the middle of the holiday season when so many are off, or cut back in work hours? :-)
It just seems that with something related to the community, it's important to recognize that many in the community need days or a couple weeks for word of something like this to spread sufficiently far to get an accurate read of the community.
Not complaining. Just looking for explanations, as I assume you must have your reasons.
