Eclipse 3.3 - Umm....Where is My 'Software Updates'??

So I just tried to check for some updates and mysteriously 'Software Updates' is no longer an option under 'Help' (or anywhere that I can find) in Eclipse.

Not funny....

Update: Jim Priest has the answer!

Comments
you didn't hear? They End-of-Life'd eclipse. no more updates. ever. so no need for a 'Software Updates' button.

(see, this is how vicious rumors get started... some idiot like me with an internet connection and half a brain...) :)

I'm more prone to believe the Aptana conspiracy theory.

Mysteriously I can still check for THEIR updates...

I've accidently turned this off before...

Right click on the toolbar menu, click Customize Perspective...

Then it's a hunt to find what to turn back on... I think it's under the Commands tab - make sure Software Updates is checked.

My Aptana (with Flex, radrails and a whole bunch of plugins) still shows the option fine. Perhaps try launching with the -clean switch, see if that helps?

It's Vista.

actually, i've been meaning to post a follow up comment. i assumed that jim's fix would have worked, since i tested it on an install that had no problems and found the option.

Unfortunately, that option is not there either on my messed up install. I went ahead and got a new install of Eclipse and it's fixed again.
