What Is slidesix.com?
So the big mystery is over. My silly 'Layer' posts have all been hinting at the launch of my new project, slidesix.com. So what is slidesix.com? Here is an abridged overview - see the 'About' page at the site for more info.
What is slidesix?
slidesix is a site for you to create presentations. We've all had to make a presentation at one point or another, and sometimes we wished we could share that presentation with a larger audience. slidesix is a public community where you can do just that - share your message with the world. Simply put:
- Register (and verify) a new account
- Create a presentation (from scratch, or by uploading a file which will be converted)
- Attach audio and/or video (via multimedia recording within the site) to your slides (slidecasting)
- Publish your presentation!
You can also create Groups, and even turn your presentation into a 'slidecast' by attaching video and/or audio to your presentation (by recording directly to the site with your microphone or web cam).
Once published your presentation can be viewed on slidesix.com, viewed and saved as PDF, or embedded on your web site or blog by using the simple embed code.
You'll also be able to subscribe to RSS feeds for group or user presentations.
