Open Source Flash/Flex IDE (Windows Only)

I came across a free, open source Flash/Flex IDE recently called FlashDevelop. Being a Windows only product I'm sure it won't benefit many ColdFusion Mac lovers, but I have been playing with it a bit and I have to say it is really a pretty damn good IDE. It doesn't have design view like Flex Builder (although there is a slick AIR app on the AIR marketplace that mimmicks design view) but it does have full code completion for MXML and AS2/AS3. It also can compile your project for you.

This may be the nudge I needed to play around with Flex a bit more. I'm still surprised I haven't heard more about it in the blogosphere - maybe I'm just not paying close enough attention.

Can you provide more info and/or a link on the AIR app that mimmicks the design view?

I'm building one but not released it yet

Flash Builder is the bomb!
its way lighter and faster dev in than Flex. doesnt have the GUI editor MXML but if your comfortable writing FLEX code or want an IDE that blows CS3 out of the water ( for managing source files) then it is a must have.

I tried flashdevelop to see what it was like and it failed the 20 minute test.

I started a new project, put all my existing source in there then tried to build whereupon it just said flash.exe not configured correctly, not sure what it was looking for as I don't have a flash.exe on my machine. Already have Flex builder 3 but think eclipse is a bit rubbish so wanted to try this out.
