I posted this on my Twitter account the other day but I thought it was worth sharing here on the blog for the benefit of those who don't follow me on Twitter. It's basically a sneak peek at the SlideSix desktop (AIR) application that I've been working on for the past few months. The app is nearly finished and I'll be using it to present my material next week at CFinNC. Here's a quick overview of some of the planned features:

  • Live Presenter Mode (Supports multiple monitors)
  • Virtual Presenter Mode (Live webcam/audio & chat)
  • Twitter Monitor (Instant feedback)
  • SlideSix Upload (Including drag/drop support)
  • And more...

Note: Screencast is best viewed in full screen mode.

I'm really interested in getting some feedback on the app. If you have suggestions or ideas please leave a comment.

great application. I will be one of your first users, so eager to try this out in professional environment

todd sharp's Gravatar Thanks gentlemen, I appreciate it. I'll be using the application to give a presentation next weekend so that will be the real test to see how it works in a real life scenario. I'm sure that will give me a good idea about how 'ready' the app is. More to come...

Tony Ramos's Gravatar Much interest these days in how presenters should monitor/engage the backchannel during a presentation. Cliff Atkinson is going to publish a book in November about this.

Alec Dorling's Gravatar How did the Slidesix presenter desktop application demo go at the conference? Any target date by when I can give a live (beta) test .

todd sharp's Gravatar Hey Alec:

The trial went very well with the exception of Twitter being down during my entire presentation. But that's the chance you take when you depend on a third party application for something.

The application will be entering a private beta period this week which I anticipate will last several weeks. There will then be a public beta period and I will be sure to let you know when that is so that you may participate. Thanks for your interest!
