I'm happy to announce that the new and improved SlideSix is now live. This new look and feel is a complete overhaul compared to the original design of the site. The new design uses a lot of gray, blue and black in order to make the site more closely resemble the Flex pieces that were already in place. There are also a lot of rounded corners to take the edge off of the deep colors so they hopefully don't overwhelm. Thanks to some feedback there is also a shiny new logo. Here's the new home page:

More after the jump:
In addition to the new design and logo there are a bunch of new ways to navigate within the site. You can now view presentations by the following options: newest, most viewed, highest ranked, most commented. Groups and users also get similar filters. The new navigation options were definitely overdue and present a nice way to find what you're looking for easily. Tag navigation also has a few preset filters applied so you can explore tags by most popular or most recently used tag.
I'm pretty happy with the way the new look came together - especially given my limited talents in the design arena. I have a ton of respect for folks who can put together a creative and attractive design while making the look consistent across all browsers. I don't pretend to be an expert, but I think I did pretty well and the site feels a lot 'cleaner' to me now.
Here's a few more screenshots:

Note - there is a minor bug with the rounded corners on the table header row in the screenshot above. I did this shot from my ancient copy of FireFox 1.5 so I'll need to fix that up tonight.

Head on over to the site and check it out. As always, feedback is very welcomed.

Other than that, it looks very nice!
I have a couple suggestions that I hope can help make it even better. The color scheme is attractive but it's so blue-and-black that adding occasional pops of a third accent color (maybe red, as it's used in a couple places already) would really help bring attention to important elements such as the "Learn More" and "Register" buttons. I also think that a tiled "gallery" display would work better for the presentation list pages, you could fit most of the metadata under the thumbnails in a caption format. You know, for when you're bored and would like more work to do :) HTH
@Rachel - believe it or not I had a bit of red in there a few days ago with the links, but decided against it. I'll re-visit it -- maybe I just had the wrong red cuz it wasn't looking right to me. I definitely appreciate the advice!!
