I'm happy to announce that the voting for the Community Achievement Awards is now open. The awards, formerly known as the CFEmmy awards, are a way for the vast community of developers who utilize Adobe tools to recognize outstanding accomplishments by their peers.

The winners will be announced live at CFUnited in August.

Please note: due to lower then anticipated participation in the nomination process some of the categories don't have as many nominees. If you feel strongly that a worthy person, site or project was not included we strongly encourage you to write that person in. If you write someone in you will probably want to spread the word via Twitter or your blog to help get others to write that person in too. Feel free to write yourself in too!

Make sure to use the hashtag #CFUnitedAwards on Twitter so everyone can keep up with the voting.

Raymond Camden's Gravatar I really think you need to fix Best Online Network. You've got the cf meetup tiwce.

todd sharp's Gravatar Thanks Ray, I'll have it removed.

Geoff Bowers's Gravatar Hmm.. didn't even hear of the nominations. Amazing to see a CFEmmy open source category without FarCry being represented.

Peter J. Farrell's Gravatar A bit strange Mach-II left off the list for Open Source Software. Didn't even hear about the nominations going on.

Raymond Camden's Gravatar To be fair guys, it was out there - it was on the aggregators, and I know I tweeted it. Plus - this isn't the first time he has done this - I think this is the 3rd year now.

todd sharp's Gravatar Sigh.... this happens every year :(

Yeah, the nominations ran several weeks - I blogged on them, Liz posted to the CFUnited blog and even mentioned it in the CFUnited newsletter. I feel bad that your projects were left off, but I can only do so much guys.

That being said, please write in your projects - they're both more then worthy of being nominated. Once you write them in, please blog on it and Tweet about it - spread the word.

todd sharp's Gravatar I should clarify - when you blog or tweet make sure to ask folks to also write your project in - as much as I'd like to go back and add in every item that was 'missed' I can't accomodate every single project or person that may have not been nominated.

Peter J. Farrell's Gravatar Sorry, I wasn't trying to moan about it. :-)

Anyways, I think it was the name change to Adobe Community Achievement Awards and that the timing changed from December to May. I remember the blog post you made saying there were no CFemmy awards this year and I know a lot of people wrote it off.

todd sharp's Gravatar No worries - I can see how it would be confusing. This will be much better in the long run though - we'll get to actually present in person and have real actual awards to give out. Should be fun.

You can try to ping Liz and see if she'll be willing to add stuff - she might do it.
