I wanted to help spread the word about two new conference options for developers. The first is the RIAdventure 360 Cruise that will be held December 6-13 on the high seas of the Western Caribbean. This is the second iteration of this event which is organized by my buddy Josh Cyr. Josh says:

What is really different about this conference is not just that it is on a cruise ship, but also it is more of a summit. Less on how to do xyz and more about the world/future of RIA. The presentations are all new, etc. There is an agenda, but not for what to speak about, but rather to get conversations going. Conversations that can last the 7 days of the cruise. Great networking to boot!

Price wise it is a great deal. $1000 to $1300 (double occupancy) will get a person the full cruise plus conference. Including food!

The second event I wanted to let people know about is the free CFinNC 2009 Conference. (Wait, did you hear me? I said free!). It will be held October 17-18, 2009 on the Centennial Campus of NC State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. The organizers are currently looking for feedback on what kinds of topics attendees are interested in seeing presented. Check the CFinNC site for more info and to suggest a topic or speaker.

I'd really love to attend both of these events, but my available vacation (and funds) may limit me to just one. Since the NC event is being held in an area that we've been considering relocating to there is a strong possibility that I may make the trip down for that event.
