Below are my slides from my session on Wednesday. Once I get some time I plan on adding some video narration so that the slides make more sense - they're a bit out of context in this case due to the style I chose to go with for my deck. If you are speaking at the conference please join the group via the link on the group page (shown in the the image on the left) and make sure to associate your presentations with the group so that attendees can easily find all of your material.

I'm happy to announce that the voting for the Community Achievement Awards is now open. The awards, formerly known as the CFEmmy awards, are a way for the vast community of developers who utilize Adobe tools to recognize outstanding accomplishments by their peers.

The winners will be announced live at CFUnited in August.

Please note: due to lower then anticipated participation in the nomination process some of the categories don't have as many nominees. If you feel strongly that a worthy person, site or project was not included we strongly encourage you to write that person in. If you write someone in you will probably want to spread the word via Twitter or your blog to help get others to write that person in too. Feel free to write yourself in too!

Make sure to use the hashtag #CFUnitedAwards on Twitter so everyone can keep up with the voting.

I'm happy to announce that the CFEmmy awards have now evolved into the Adobe Community Achievement Awards. I started the CFEmmys a few years ago as a way for community members to recognize the outstanding achievements of their peers for the sometimes thankless work they do to grow our community. I'm really excited that Liz and Nafisa have thrown their support behind this effort - it should be a blast to present the awards at CFUnited.

Nominations are being accepted until June 8. Feel free to nominate those who you think deserve to be on the ballot. We'll hold a round of voting once all the nominations are in and the winners will be announced during CFUnited in August.

I'm thrilled to announce that my topic, "Better Development Through Open Source" has been chosen for CFUnited 2009. I'm really excited about this session since Open Source is a topic that I am very passionate about.
