Why should I attend CFUnited 2009?
Why should I attend CFUnited 2009?
I just realized that I've never offically blogged the fact that I'm on Twitter. Not that my feed is overflowing with tons of insight and knowledge, but I did want to let readers of my blog know that you can follow me if you are so inclined. I've been making a habit to tweet pretty regulary. My interface of choice has been mostly just the mobile web version, but I do use Twhirl occassionally.
I also maintain another account just for SlideSix that auto tweets each new public presentation. I try to post updates/ideas to that stream too, but it's hard to live the double life in Twitter so sometimes I forget to cross post to that account.
For best results, just follow both!
A quick post to help get the word out about Ignite Cleveland and let folks know (who may not follow me in Twitter) about a short survey.
First, Andrew Kavanaugh and Jon Stahl have organized the first ever Ignite Cleveland session.
So what is Ignite Cleveland? It's basically a way for people to get a message out to other local people, but with a catch. From the Ignite Cleveland site:
If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Could you keep up? Around the world geeks have been putting together Ignite nights to show their answers.
The event will take place on February 28. If you're local and want to attend you should register soon. Word is that over 50% of the (free) tickets are already gone. I have submit a preso about SlideSix so hopefully I will have the opportunity (challenge) to present it!
Secondly, and speaking of SlideSix, I've released a very short survey for developers help me gauge interest in a public API for the site. If you have time, please respond.
I had just sat down to author a blog post summarizing the TechCrunch/CrunchGear meetup that I attended last night when I received an email from Ben Blanquera, one of the super talented folks that I had a chance to meet at the event.
Turns out that Ben has already posted a pretty comprehensive summary of the event. Yes, that's me in the pic with John Biggs of CrunchGear fame :)
From what I understand Ben is a pretty influential member of the Columbus IT community, and was a real nice guy to chat with. Same goes for all the folks that I spoke with, though I wish I had more time to chat with many of them.
The summary up at CrunchGear promises some startup and product reviews later this week, so I'm crossing my fingers that SlideSix gets a bit of publicity.
