todd sharp Hi! I'm Todd Sharp. I'm happily married with two beautiful children. I don't particulary like talking about myself but figured since you're taking the time out of your busy day to come visit my site that I at least owed you a little bit about me.

I currently work for a large telecommunications company in the Midwest [insert standard disclaimer regarding the thoughts and opinions expressed here on the blog are mine and not those of the company, blah, blah, blah]. I'm also ColdFusion fanatic, though I do not code "for a living" at my full time job any longer (see this post if you care to read more about that).

I got started with CF right before version 7 came out and was instantly hooked. I have never had any "formal" programming training - which possibly explains a lot (kidding). No really - I'm pretty much self-taught. I came into coding pretty late in my life even though I had always had a passion for tinkering with code. Once I started doing it full time at work I became addicted.

In addition to my full time job I own a company called Sharp Interactive, LLC. After I stopped coding at work I found myself still stuck on blogs and writing code every chance I could get so I figured I might as well pick up some work on the side to keep my skills honed and feed the addiction. If you are in need of a consultant/developer for your projects I'd love to talk to you. See my services page or contact me if you think I can help out with your project.

I also created and developed a multimedia presentation sharing community called SlideSix. SlideSix has been covered by a few tech blogs like TechCrunch and Mashable. Here are a few links if you'd like to check them out:

If you care to read more about SlideSix here on my blog you can check the SlideSix category for my entries.

I've been known to write a few articles for the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update and speak at ColdFusion conferences like cf.Objective and CFUnited. I'm also an Adobe Community Expert.

My hobbies? Well - outside of CF I like to spend time with my family. I feel family should always be a high priority in one's life. If things aren't solid at home then nothing seems to work out. I'm a huge fan of golf - though I'm not great at it. I get out once a week which is a good way to spend some time with my Dad and get away from all things stressful. I enjoy good movies - which if you know me then you know that I only classify very few movies as "good". I used to be a hardcore gamer - but don't get much time for it anymore. If you'd like to pick up an XBox 360 off my wishlist I would probably find a way to make some time ;)

That's about it. Thanks for stopping by the blog. Drop a line if you need my services, have a ColdFusion question or just want to say hi. Feel free to follow me on Twitter: @cfsilence.
